This is an antique 8-quart hand-crank ice cream maker. It measures approximately 20" wide (including the handle) x 12 1/2" deep x 18" tall and weighs 19 lbs. 6 oz. The handle mechanism allows for both cranking and easy removal - turning it in one direction engages the gears, while turning it the opposite way unlocks the handle for storage or securing the machine. The wooden exterior shows wear consistent with age, and the outer canister has some rust on the bottom. Inside, the paddles are clean, though the central post has minor rust. The crank turns smoothly, and the machine appears to be functional, but its suitability for food use is unknown. Modern replacement inner canisters and dashers may be available if needed. Please note one of three metal hoops is missing and has been replaced with a wire. The vintage ice cream scoop is not included. Please see all photos and zoom in as necessary to assess condition.
