Vintage White Mountain Triple Motion Hand Crank Ice Cream Freezer

This is a White Mountain Triple Motion Ice Cream Freezer. The cast-metal crank housing is embossed “White Mountain Freezer,” and the original paper label identifies it as a “Triple Motion White Mountain Ice Cream Freezer.”

White Mountain's hand-operated freezers were designed around a geared “Triple Motion” system. Turning the crank operated the internal dasher while the freezer canister worked within the surrounding ice-and-salt mixture, allowing the ingredients to freeze while being continuously churned. The wooden outer tub held the ice and salt surrounding the metal canister.

All parts appear to be included, although this is being sold as a display and not an actual ice cream maker.

Condition is consistent with considerable age. The wooden bucket has scratches, staining, discoloration, finish wear. The metal bands and operating components show oxidation, rust spotting, tarnish and patina. The original paper label remains attached but has staining, fading, edge losses, tears and surface wear. The wooden bucket has separations and wear visible around some of the staves and rim. The internal metal components also show age and use.

This is being sold as an accent item and not an actual working ice cream maker. The top will be removed for shipping purposes.
